@ 11 months old

Only one more left to be O N E !!!

Time is very busy, preparing Olivia's 1st Halloween and her 1st Birthday! Halloween turned out well, two of her friends came by and we all went out together for trick and treat around my neighbor and got lots of candies! Olivia was pumpkin this year and she looked adorable! She didn't walked yet, i put her in stroller and strolled her around which was much easier. She can walk but few steps only. She has the confidence to walk around in home alone without hand holding helping. She also has 4th tooth already! 2 bottom and 1 top; 2nd top is just coming out now...that's why she's been having lots of diarhea lately - yuck! the fun moments changing diapers cuz she rolls over very quickly and is aggressive, doesn't like to stay still.
The other language that she knows is sign language - milk, finish, byebye, no, dada and she moves her hands around cuz they thinks she's communicating with us, which is great!

@ 10 months old

@ 10 months old, she has 2 new tooth bottom! Weighting almost 24 lbs and almost 30 in. tall! When she got 2 new tooth, she was fussy and in pain for only 2 days, it wasn't that long. She loves to touch and feel new toys, new things, anywhere that she sees it. She definitely loves the sound on keyboard and pulling balloons. She can crawl anywhere too from room to room until her knees hurt then she rathers one of us pick her up if she's too tired to walk. Now it is time for me to shop and make plan for her big ONE birthday!!! I think it's gonna be all pink, pink and a pink! I know i'm gonna spoil her!

Family Portrait

Thanks Rosie for taking our "family" portraits

@ 9 months old

Turning 9 months old is exciting age for her!
She's a happy baby but not liking the solid food yet. She spits out all solid food, except the ones like bread, rice cereal, formula milk, puffs veggies she'll eat them. And she is doing so well in her "development age stage" like clapping hands, grabbing things, sitting up, and much more! She's able to walk step by step around the couches and tables to walk over to other areas where she wasn't able to do so before. She knows the balance well and can get up herself from sitting down or sit down from standing up, she definintely has strong legs!

Lately her mama is the favorite and only mama put her to sleep in crib and only mama can soothe her pain but she can't say the word "mama" yet; she can do only "mmmm"! She can say "dada" definintely and is always excited to see dada coming home from work and loves taking nap with dada on the couch during the day.

Olivia has met tons of babies friends, pretty much all of them are lil boys and only 2 lil girls including cousin Vanden. I noticed a lot of babies are blondie and blue eyes this time of the year....

I can stand!

Look! I can stand!
Of course with help holding hands and she's learning balance to stand still. She hates sitting down, mostly she loves to stand and trying to walk. She is only a week over 8 months old; we think she'll be walking before she'll turn 1 year old.

@ 8 months old!

She's turning 8 months old in just few days and hasn't gained much, only 0.2 oz. but she did grew taller, much taller! and into beautiful girl! Still got mama's blue eyes! She hasn't crawling yet, but she loves to stand and trying to walk with us holding her hands. She babbles herself and sometimes say "mama" or "dada"; always get excited to see daddy's home from work.
Olivia and I have gone out to different kid's places this summer; we've gone to her lil friend's bday parties, swim pools, play parks or spending with relatives; she loves to entertain with people and ofcourse the attention she's getting!

carrott!

Carrott is the one she likes to eat!
She doesn't like apples, squash or bananas nor pears, but she does like carrotts! She does drink formula milk daily and once a day rice cereal or oats. She always wants to grab everything to chew on; I think it's also cuz she is teething, still no teeth in sight yet.

@ 7 months old

"mama" & "dada" are those words she can say at 7 months old! She can also sign "milk"! It was awesome to see her signing! We're thrilled! We're continuing teaching her other signs as she grows up. Each day she talks more words and makes more sound voices, it's her experiment time to learn to speak & use sounds and hands movements! She loves to stand all the time, doesn't like to sit much, i think she can't wait to be able to walk! Alto she can't stand by herself yet, but she can sit by herself and play with her toys...

@ 5 months old

Olivia at 5 months old is always trying to talk like us, uses her voice a lot, sometimes talk herself with her toys, she is getting smarter each day. She loves people's attention; always being an angel. She can sit herself with some support on sides, but sometimes lose the balance. She is still drooling a lot, but no tooth in sight. I think i did see her trying to sign milk once and grabbing the bottle; but then she is grabbing almost everything and trying to eat everything even the paper! What she sees what her mama or dada is doing is what she wants to do too! One afternoon with my friends at the restaurant i had my iced tea full and Olivia tried to use the straw to drink it like I did but it didn't work for her; in a second she used her strong arm and slapped it away, it spilled all over! ....not her first time...
Lately some ppl have come up to me and thinking Olivia is a boy! beside her clothing, her face & ears & hair actually looks like a boy; i'm starting to agree with them. I can't wait for warmer weather so she can start wearing dresses, she got it on the hangers waiting to wear!
The low of this month was when she had fever 39-40 for 2-3 days with lots of diarhea and sleepless nights but now she is all better & looking beautiful as ever!

VIDEO: Olivia First Eat!

Bunny!

Olivia met the Easter Bunny up north at the Downsey farm for the first time ever! Altho, she didnt do much, but her 5 year old friend Kohav went to see the magic show, puppet show, egg hunting, had his face painted and his egg painted. I pained one egg for Olivia! In this windy weather; Olivia and I walked around and looked at baby animals. One of the baby cow licked Olivia's stroller cuz she had milk bottle nearby, that was cute! In the near future when Olivia will be able to walk, she can do there much better, it is a great place for kids! They also had special wines where they make it there; I bought "maple" wine, haven't opened it yet! But i had sample there and it tasted like a sweet honey; interesting!

This year for Easter we gathered with families at Noble's; it was nice getting together with loved ones and spending time with them. Second Easter gathering was at Laforge's where they had bunny cake! (shown pix) Olivia had a lil taste of it as she tried to eat/lick it. But I wouldn't let her, she is still too young to eat, yet. Olivia got some cute gifts from her grandparents and her godmother Josie; a bunny onesies!

@ 4 months old

Olivia at 4 months old with a beautiful big blue eyes weights 17.10 lbs (8kg) and 25 in. tall (64 cm). Today she just had her 2nd shot on both legs and she cried her eyes out, poor baby! I was holding her when she had these shots but after few minutes she calmed down. The difference between last month and this month's development is that she is using her voice when she is laughing or trying to talk and make noises. She can hold her head well and hold her toys or her favorite blanket. Few times she has been trying to turn over but didn't success yet. She is more interested on TV shows than DVD Einsteins, i dont know why, perhaps it's too soon for her to understand it yet.

Olivia definitely loved my family, her auntie Krysia, uncle Marek (godfather) and great-grandma Renata when they were here for 3 weeks vacation and spoke Polish all the time, I am sure Olivia will pick up the language someday and see them again in the near future. Olivia was blessed and baptized with godparents Josie & Marek. Baptism was held at our Kolbe Church with close families & friends on March 8th, 2009 which was also International Women's Day! I gotta say Olivia had the most beautiful white long dress! She also had received lovely personally gifts which will be memoir to her when she grows up. 5-7 more years and then we'll reunite again for Olivia's communion.

@ 3 months old

Olivia at 3 months old weighting 15.8 lbs and 24-25 in. tall!
Doctor says she is very healthy and happy baby! She doesn't have health problems so far but she likes to lick/eat her hand, she might be teething, so I have to watch out for her screaming tooths! Olivia is growing fast; faster than other babies showing on doctor's "chart" compared to other babies, but that's nothing to worry about, she is just at growing spurt fast. No wonder she wears 6 months clothes cuz her body and legs are long and she is still beautiful as ever! She is always smilling at our family & friends or whoever talks to her, she loves the attention she is getting all the time.
She still sleeps thru the night, sometimes it is 7 hours, rarely 10 hrs - depending if she had very active during the day and if the bedroom is still dark in the morning. Of course as a new mom; I still wake up and check her breathing and make sure she is fine and sleeping well. We have moved to a new place on Lakeshore and we're still unpacking. We have only 4 more days to finish before my family from Poland arrives here (my grandma Renata, my godmother aunt Krysia & my cousin Marek); it is their first time flying overseas.

Marek will become Olivia's godfather, how exciting! We choosed Josie (Louis' middle sister) to become Olivia's godmother. I believe both of them will be a good role model for Olivia and she can always fly to Poland to visit her family as a second home and stay with her uncle Marek, we'll see what future'll bring us. But right now, I am looking forward to speaking Polish for 3 weeks! maybe Olivia will learn some too! perhaps daddy Louis as well, i'm sure he'll be busy with "wodka i piwo!" LOL

First Valentine

It is my best Valentine ever by having my baby Olivia; she completes me. She may have daddy's looks but she has my blue eyes. I love her tiny feet and hands, I put them on the card and drew around it because I know her foot and hands won't be tiny any much longer, they're growing each day. Olivia at 11 wks old is already stealing little boys' attention. She already has a boy in the future, Hea's son Zane (2 yrs old) from Florida (wait till they are 18 yrs old to date, lol). Also this evening at the restaurant, Lisa's son Kohav (4 yrs old) keep petting & holding Olivia's hand, it was very cute to watch them....Happy Valentine!

Happy 2009!

I know, I know, I know I haven't been here updating Olivia's latest news, I feel bad, tho this would be only pregnancy website, but I think I'm gonna continue to use this website with Olivia's growing up, perhaps her first word, her first steps, her first haircut, etc. to share it with you all locally and overseas. And some special video moments as well....
As of today, Olivia is 11 weeks old now and she is big healthy baby, weighting around 13 lbs and 23 in. tall. She wears 3-6 months clothes cuz her body/legs are long and I'm babyshopholic! I can't help it, babies clothes are soooo cute to resist! LOL
Olivia is a beautiful girl! Everyone says "awww" and i am proud to be her mama! She always smiles a lot and is very calm baby when we go out to the store, doctor appointmens, restaurant, driving, etc. She always sits calmly in her carseat/stroller or sleeping heavenly. She is not like that at home; at home she is awake, cries for milk or must change diaper (she hates the feeling of wet) or needs my attention. She loves to be held by families & friends, she loves the attention, she is no shy. Most of all i'm so grateful that she sleeps during the night, the most is 6 hours, so i can have my sleep, whew! I'm wondering if she'll be like that once she turns 2 years old? hmm I have heard about the "terrible two" from other parents. we'll see....in 2 yrs.

As being a new mom is very exhausting! it is 24 hours job paid with love. Daddy Louis always hold her/feed her when he comes home from work and they both always fall asleep together on the couch, my 2 babies! LOL
During weekend he spends time with her as much as he can so I can do the chores or catch up things. It is very busy time right now, cuz we're in the middle of packing to move to a better place in Lakeshore. I am looking forward for spring so I can stroll down Olivia to the park or lake, can't wait! We're also teaching her some sign language, it seems she is paying attention to our hand signing and is always smiling, maybe she likes the hand movements, cuz im sure she doesn't understand us yet. Olivia is 100% hearing but she does need to know sign language as a first language to communicate with her deaf parents, that's a first priority! We're trying to encourage our friends and families to use sign at all times in front of her and in front of a deaf person, it's the right thing to do; especially that Olivia is our daughter. I'm not concerned about her ability to speak, she can always pick up the voice/talk from other hearing ppl, TV, school, etc.
Let me catch up about Olivia's First Christmas! She had two, lucky her, one with dad's parents (Grandparents Laforge) and the second was with mom's parents (Grandparents Chmielinski). Olivia got tons of gifts, mostly clothes and some toys, she hasn't played with them yet, but will soon when she understands how to hold the toys and such. It was also Olivia's first flight! We went to California (Bay Area) to visit my parents for christmas/nye for 2 weeks. It was nice break and vacation for us away from home and I was able to show Louis many places to see like Alcatraz, Golden Bridge, Halfmoon Bay wineries, beaches, San Francisco & the famous fisherman wharf Pier 39. Louis was also able to attend 3 sport events with my dad: San Jose Sharks Hockey, SF 49ers Football & Oakland Warriors Basketball! and the great part was, there was no snow there at all, but a cool and nice weather. We took hundreds of photos, 80% are Olivia's since birth, I need to buy a big album box! But I think we have calmed that right now and will take more when Valentine's coming up which is in few days! Olivia's first Valentine! that will be on our next post! come back....again....
