It's not Nov. 20th either!

It was very close call, I had a baby girl at 00:06 on Nov. 21st! It was very long 15 hours labor and very painful, I had interpreter with me all the time which was very helpful. My mother Danuta & Louis' mom Rosa were with us too and waiting for the baby to come out. After long hours, finally it was time for her to come out. It was amazing moment to see my baby and the daddy Louis was very excited to cut the cord, his first time! We decided to name her Olivia, a beautiful name like she is. She was not small; she is chunk, full terms and full black hair! She passed the hearing test 100%, but will have another test when she turns 1 year old. At first, my mom Danuta says she looks exactly like me when I was born and everyone thought so just by looking at baby Olivia. But next day, the family brought Louis' birth photo and it looks exactly the same as Olivia; the eyes, nose & lips, everything is a match! WOW!

so perhaps the final overdue on Nov. 20th on my grandma Renata's bday?

It's not Nov. 10th

Definitely it's not November 10th as ultrasound technician thought so.
Let's see if the baby will come out on November 15th due to my OB/GYN doctor.

Blue Eyes

Last night, I dreamed of you and saw your big blue eyes like clear blue sky, you're beautiful baby! Today at doctor's office told me that you are very healthy baby and estimated that you're about 7.2 lbs in my belly right now. Over 7 lbs already?! Ultrasound confirmed that baby is in the right spot for the labor and due in about 2 weeks from today! But I am expecting for you to come out soon, definitely not on Halloween, perhaps on your daddy Louis' bday Nov. 1st? Tonight, your grandma Danuta is flying in here from California and will stay here with us for almost a month! We're all ready to see you baby....Lukasz or _______? (still haven't decided on a girl's name)

Last Terms!

I love this pix of Louis touching my belly, only few more weeks left before we're able to hold our baby in our arms! So exciting! I am half nervous and half excited, cuz everything is my first time. Lets' see....I printed out the list of phone numbers and hospital info with birth plan list. I'm gonna pack the small suitcase for the hospital this weekend; and will have Louis set up the baby carrier & car seat in my car! That's most important a must to do! What else do we need to do? hmmm....

Final Ultrasound

Our final ultrasound at 33 weeks went very well. I am feeling more and more everyday of babys kicking & movements. The baby heartbeat was 138 and weighed 2.5 kg that means 5.5 lbs. Louis and I watched the baby moving and little fingers and faces on the TV ultrasound, it was lovely, we were also able to see the heart beating, it was awesome! The ultrasound technician knew we wanted it surprise but we were tempted to find out if it was boy or girl; He laughed cuz Louis asked him if he knew what it was. It took a while and yeah we still don't want to know the answer! After measuring the baby's sizes, in his opinion, I was 35 weeks and baby due is Nov. 10th. It has always been Nov. 20th; so after seeing my doctor today, she said better to estimate it at Nov. 14th. Oddly that day is Kevin's birthday, only if he knew; I know he would be so thrilled!

Baby Showers

We had 2 baby showers, 1 was for local friends and 1 for families ladies, both were lovely & fun! Will post the photos next week. We both really want to thank you so much for your love and gifts to support our baby. We love all the safari animals stuff and Noah's Ark, they're awesome! We're looking forward for the crib/change table from Loui's parents & sisters to make our baby room complete. It is fun and exciting! We know having baby is a lot of work and responsibilities, but at this moment we cannot wait for the baby to come out, only 8 weeks or less left! The baby is pushing low and giving pressure in my below waist area. I think the baby is ready to come out anytime soon but I haven't feeling any false constraction yet. Our Baby is always sleeping in my belly and kicks only few times when I am really rested or during my sleep time. Now, I have everyweek appointments with the doctor for check up; today the baby's heartbeat was 132 and is healthy. We will have 1 more final ultrasound on October 3rd, I'm tempted to find out the sex gender but Louis prefers surprise....

Into 3rd Trimester

Baby, you are 29 weeks today with heartbeat 136. Your daddy Louis love touching my belly when you are kicking! That means I am 7th months pregnant, into 3rd trimester and hitting the hormones! This saturday will be first day of prenatal classes & first time for me to experience it. It's every saturdays of this month for 4 hours each - good thing I will have an interpreter, so I can understand everything and teach Louis at home unless he has a day off from work then he can join with me to the class. We'll see.... Our labor weekend was up north in Bala with few of our friends. Bala is a beautiful small town - all about cranberries. They had cranberry pie, cranberry juice & even cranberry ice cream! We also went to the cranberry winery farm and bought a bottle; will open it after our baby birth to celebrate!

Baby Gifts

Baby...you have received some packages gifts from our friends who live far away and ur great-grandma Renata mailed u one too, it's on the way. How exciting!!! You will have 2 baby shower parties coming up in September, one for local co-ed friends and one for ladies families. I know we'll have fun! I and ur daddy cannot wait to complete your baby room before you arrive. Only 12 more weeks to go!

It's pink or is it?

Today, baby you are 25 weeks and passed the diabetes test, yayaya, which is good news along with other tests all were passed too. You are a healthy baby! Now we're waiting for you to come out - about 15 more weeks! Your heartbeat was pretty much same 147 and due date is same November 20th. I know your great-grandma Renata will be very excited to share the same birthday as you - only if you born on that day! The doctor did revealed to me that you are a pink! she forgot we wanted it to be a surprise at birth but but but but it's not 100% - whew! Only cuz the ultrasound technician failed to find a penis or see the front clearly, so he checked automatically that the baby is a girl.

Kicking at Nighttime

I'm into 6th month now! I am starting to feel alot more of baby kicking few times during the day, mostly strongly feelings during nighttime. I'm not having enough sleep lately because the baby is kicking me when I'm sleeping or wakes me up in the middle of the night, so I toss back and forth until I fall asleep but will wake up again in few hours. It is like the baby is here already and it's time to breastfeed, but it's just not yet! It's nice to feel the kicking and Louis can put his arm on my belly and feel it too, but I also need my beauty sleep!

As they say, the baby is kind of lulled to sleep by your movement during the day. And when they are getting ready for bed, just because they're not moving anymore. The baby wakes up because it's not being "rocked" to sleep.

22 wks humor

on my baby timetable it says -- "I can now recognize Mommy's mood swings from the distinct sound of glass breaking and maniacal screaming. I'm 22 weeks old, only 126 days to go!" -- that's funny and cute!
Altough I have noticed that driving around in GTA, I've been honking a lot more than I ever did anywhere else, cuz carelessly ppl are this close to hit my car by passing to my lane, are they blind or what? my car is not invisible ..sure.. I have not been showing the fingers few times. Let's hope the baby didn't hear my swearing, ooops! lalalala

@ 20 wks ultrasound

@ 20 weeks ultrasound today was Louis' first time to see the baby moving real live; it was awesome! He loved it! Unfortunately the baby's head was bended and facing to my back and was showing only the baby's back with little cute butt on front, we couldn't see the gender (not that we want to know). We were able to see all the bones and backbones and foot bones, it was so cute. When the baby was kicking, it was like a frog jumping, has veerryyyy long legs! We're thinking the baby might turn out to be a tall person like Amelia or cousin Laurie-Ann. At the end, I was lying down on the side as the doctor was trying to get the face and it only showed the side for few minutes which we snapped the photos, allrite! The heartbeat was 150 and what was great about it that the doctor turned the volume up very loud and Louis touched the speaker and he could feel the beating. It was amazing experience for him and me!!!

Half-time

Baby, you are halfway to go! Several ppl have guessed that I'm having twins, but I know you're the only baby in my belly. Today you're officially 20 weeks and you have 20 more weeks in my belly before you come out in this weird world we're having but tons of love from families & friends! Today your heartbeat was 144 and u were kicking few times. Next week, ur dad Louis and I will see u on ultrasound, how exciting! Louis doesnt want to know your gender, we'll have it surprise at birth, so we have decided to decorate your room Rainforest or African Safari or at least Noah's Ark, full of animals. Louis' mom (your grandma Rosa) already bought a cute crib, feeding chair and a jumboo jumper for her home for you, she is ready to babysit you! My mother (your grandma Danuta) will fly here from California for ur birth time. We can't wait!

Shopping time!

Louis and I had fun shop around for our baby stuff but we haven't really bought anything yet, okay, okay, maybe few cute safari animals onesies. They're so cute!!! I'm getting some ideas from my friends who had or will have baby before me. So far we only registered at 2 stores, still working on that. I'm thrilled to know that we'll be having a family baby shower in September, I can't wait!!! We haven't really picked out the crib/stage & changing tables yet, its difficult to pick one! If you had experience with that or know abt good deal, comment me and let me know how did u know the right one?

Happy Father's Day!

We went to Mr. Greek and had lovely late lunch to celebrate Louis' Father's Day-To-Be! Then we went to BabiesRUs store looking around for all the things and picking out which we thought was best and good for our baby. We liked the Safari Animal & Rainforest themes. We love those cute little things!!! It's more like neutral colors, cuz we don't know the gender yet, we'll have it surprise at birth. Our baby heartbeat went down to 138 from 147. We'll have ultrasound again on July 7th - your daddy Louis is happy to see you soon!

Due Date Changed

The due date has changed from Nov. 15th to Nov. 20th by the doctor's measurements on the baby size. It is a size of avocado. I'm thinking myself....Oh no...I'm still on 16th week? But great news the Nov. 20th is my grandma Renata's birthday! (my mom's mom in Poland) I texted to her the good news and she got very excited and hope the baby will born on her birthday! I know there are so many other relatives whose their birthdays are on november as well too - lots of Scorpios!
While my doctor was trying to find the baby's heartbeat, the baby moved around a lot! She heard some kicking but I felt the bubbles all around like butterfly. After 3 times trying, (which i thought was funny!) finally we got it - 147! So perhaps, it is a boy? a Scorpion lil guy?

Bubbles

I have been feeling like "bubbles" lately and some ppl say its baby's moving, not a real kicking yet; so I'm very thrilled to know that. Maybe it's my imagination but I notice the baby is often on lower and left side; maybe cuz I always sleep on left side and the baby's comfort place. I wish I could have the ultrasound here at home and see the baby often as I can, that would be lovely! My hubby, the exciting father to be Louis still kiss me and the baby every morning and every night - it's adorable beside my hormones. I'm looking forward to feel the baby's kicking so my hubby can feel it too!

Mother's Day

It was my first Mother's Day (to-be) and it's a wonderful gift for me this year, today I had ultrasound and saw my baby's head, nose, feet, leg & arms looks like waving. The baby moved around a lot, was very restless, but we did took one pix, still a bit blurred. Perhaps next month will be better, but it was wonderful to see it, it was emotional feelings for a moment. I wish I could see it again and more...

Heartbeat Myth

I did little research online and found so many cool myths to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. One of them is the heartbeat; if it's above 150 it is a girl, if its below 150 it is a boy. Well...well....well...in the past 12 weeks we thought it might be a girl cuz the heartbeat was 170 until today it showed 147, so now we don't know what to think! HA!

No wines for me

No red wines for me....no coffee....no cappucino....no pops...only a boring water, perhaps a juicy fruit. Yay for Ginger Ale! I feel like I am a sober at this moment, since I always drink at parties or clubs with my friends. I always had a rum & diet coke in one of my hand and other hand signing and staying up alive all night...now...i rather go home and crawl in bed. I haven't gone out much lately in the past few weeks; I do feel bad for saying "no" many times to my friends but I can't help it. This weekend has lots of events and I definitely will go! I have to find a good clothing, cuz the belly is already showing, none of my jeans fits me right now. I doubled up my size and my weight; will see the baby on monitor in May 12th - can't wait! Perhaps this time the picture will be more clearer

Fruit Size

At 2 months, our baby has grown to the size of a grape or green olive and next week it's kumquat! I find this slideshow of baby sizes, amusing! Click me!

Baby's Heartbeat!

I'm glad to say the sonogram went very well, they gave me a print out of baby picture, it doesnt show clearly yet, it's a size of a rice at this moment but it does have heartbeat 170! At 8 weeks, the baby has developed an eyelid, brain and hands. Louis thinks it's a boy and I do want a boy first but in some ways I think it's gonna be a girl, we'll see who is right.

Pst! Sometimes Louis put his head on my tummy and pretends he can hear it and kisses it every morning he goes to work and again when he comes back home. He is a sweetie!

Positive!

Say what? positive? positive of what? (I had blood test on several health issues) and nurse said u're pregnant. I am pregnant? WOW! how long? 6 weeks. And the doctor set me up for an appt for sonogram; it all went fast but Finally! It's about time, we're going to have a baby and I know how much Louis wants it. I stopped by in Niagara Falls town and bought a t-shirt that says "HOCKEY DAD". When I got home and showed Louis what i bought in N.F. and he saw the tshirt and said oh cool. I told him I was 6 wks, he was clueless and said 6 wks what? I'm looking at him...and tshirt...6 wks? He is still clueless and kept asking me yeah 6 wks what? i told him look at tshirt, what it say? Then he was shocked and said impossible, are u for real? YUP! Louis got very excited and had a happy tears and we both hugged. We decided not to announce everyone yet, until the sonogram results to be sure how the baby is doing. We both are anxious to tell our parents, but just not yet....
